Facial balancing is a non-surgical procedure designed to enhance the symmetry and proportions of your face. By strategically using injectable treatments, such as dermal fillers and Botox, we can contour the face using a minimum amount of product strategically placed to create a more harmonious appearance.
Why Choose Facial Balancing?
Custom-Tailored: We understand that every face is unique. Our experts work with you to develop a personalized treatment plan that complements your features.
Non-Surgical: Achieve stunning results without the need for invasive procedures or extended downtime.
Subtle yet Effective: The goal is a refreshed, natural look that enhances your beauty without looking overdone.
During a consultation for facial balancing, several key factors will to be taken into account to achieve a harmonious and proportionate appearance.
1. Facial Anatomy, Harmony and Symmetry:
- Symmetry: Natural facial features are rarely perfectly symmetrical, but assessing and improving overall symmetry is a key goal in balancing.
- Bone Structure: The underlying bone structure—such as the forehead, cheekbones, jawline, and chin—must be considered, as it significantly influences facial appearance.
- Facial Proportions: Ideal proportions, like the golden ratio or the "thirds" rule (dividing the face into three equal horizontal sections: forehead to eyebrows, eyebrows to nose, nose to chin), are often used as guidelines for balance to ensure that one feature does not overpower the others. For example, a more prominent nose might need to be balanced with adjustments to the chin or cheekbones.
2. Facial Features:
- Eyes: Position, size, and spacing of the eyes in relation to other facial features.
- Nose: The size, shape, and position of the nose are crucial for overall balance, often being the center of focus.
- Lips: Lip size and shape, and their relationship with the nose and chin, are important for balancing the lower face.
- Cheeks and Jawline: Proper positioning of the cheekbones and definition of the jawline help frame the face, creating more definition and balance.
3. Ethnicity and Cultural Considerations:
- Recognizing the cultural or ethnic background of the individual is important for ensuring that the features remain natural to their identity.
- Personalized facial balancing should respect and enhance ethnic traits rather than conforming to an idealized standard of beauty.
4. Aging and Soft Tissue Changes:
- As people age, the skin and underlying soft tissues (muscles, fat, etc.) change. It's important to consider these changes when recommending treatments or surgeries to avoid unrealistic results.
- For example, restoring volume loss in the cheeks or addressing sagging skin in the jawline may be part of the consultation.
5. Goals and Expectations:
- Clear communication is essential for us to understand what you hope to achieve. Some people might want subtle improvements, while others may expect more dramatic changes.
- Managing expectations is key to ensuring that you are satisfied with the outcome of the treatment
- Ensure the patient has a healthy understanding of their appearance and realistic expectations. It's vital that they aren’t seeking treatments to a
ddress body dysmorphia or dissatisfaction with aspects of their identity that are unlikely to be resolved through cosmetic procedures.
